In the track racing world championship in Pruszkow, Poland, the team of Danish riders managed to secure a historic result: Two gold medals won by the same rider, Alex Rasmussen, who had to share the honor with Casper Jørgensen, Jens-Erik Madsen and Michael Færk Christensen from the pursuit team, and with Michael Mørkøv who put in the winning effort with Rasmussen in the pair race the following day. Frenchman Grégory Bauge and Azizulhasni Awang of Malaysia, both seen in the screengrab above, went through a fierce three-round battle for gold in the sprint discipline, which eventually went to Bauge. Go here for the second race and a hot taste of Awang's uncompromising racing style.
